Development communication derived from the word itself ‘development’ and ‘communication’ which development denote progression and change within its physical, economic, environmental, and social conditions, While communication defines to interaction exchanges, emotions and opinions.

Therefore, development communication defines interaction to a significant role in society that aims the public to increase their understanding towards goals and activities that the government provides. As development communication wants to bring a development to people for being purposive, goal-oriented and be associated with societal problems for a better desirable change, if only all citizens attitude change towards development.

Communication about development is essential to ensure the sustained attention to the issues which is necessary in getting the essential commitment from world leaders and the wider public to give meaning to the process. Development communication is a vital part of the political and policy processes.

As what Quebral states “Development communication is communication for planned social change” indeed without interaction development and changes may not perceive.
